The information and library profession has seen great changes over the last 20 år. Many of the jobs that exist now were simply undreamt of when many people began their careers. Samtidig, many roles have disappeared. To thrive, information professionals have had to continuously adapt and acquire new skills whilst promoting the value of their traditional ones.

Four seasoned professionals drawn from different industry sectors share their career stories with us tonight. What have been the highlights (and lowlights) of their careers? What would they have done differently if they had the chance? Where do they see future opportunities in the profession developing?

There will be a short break for refreshments mid-way through the talks.

When we have heard from the final speaker, the panel will take your questions.

We must have left the British Library by 8pm but this doesn’t mean the end of the evening! There will be an opportunity to continue the conversation in a local pub.
